CLIMATELAUNCHPAD COMPETITION IN VIETNAM

ClimateLaunchpad (CLP) is the Global Green Business Ideas Competition which is run and administered by EIT Climate-KIC, an Association duly incorporated under the laws of the Netherlands. EIT Climate-KIC Partner - The ‘Delft University of Technology’ - pre-finances the majority of the ClimateLaunchpad Program’s costs and is the formal Owner of the project.

CLP’s mission is to unlock the world’s cleantech potential. We support start-ups that address climate change and shape the world’s next economy. Our competition is your ticket to global success. Your idea can be an innovation in renewable energy, sustainable transition in the food chain, or any other way to tackle climate change.

The 2019 ClimateLaunchpad is open in 45+ countries. In Vietnam, 2019 is the first year of launching, and the Centre for Creativity and Sustainability Study and Consultancy (CCS) is proud to be chosen as the national lead of the Competition. (https://climatelaunchpad.org/countries/vietnam/)

The participants of the Competition are selected based on following criteria:

a.  Anyone with a promising cleantech idea, being a start-up, SME, researcher, student, public organisation, consultant, engineering company, a combination of these or anyone else.

b. And:

  have no substantial revenue;

  have attracted less than € 200,000 in investment;

  have not yet sold products, solutions or prototypes on commercial terms.

Once 7-15 teams are shortlisted, the games begin:

Step 1: Boot Camp

ClimateLaunchpad kicks off with a 2-day Boot Camp in Hanoi, Vietnam. Our experienced and high profile trainers in entrepreneurship from the Netherlands and Vietnam shall guide you with all you need to know about jumpstarting your business.

Step 2: Intensive coaching and National Final

The Boot Camp is followed by a period of intensive coaching. You’ll improve your pitch, value proposition and business model. After that, you’re ready to revise and submit your final Entry Form. Winning teams of National Final get to compete in the Global Grand Final.

Step 3: Global Grand Final

The Top-10 competitors in the Global Grand Final will get direct access to the Climate-KIC Accelerator, the renowned business school where great ideas grow into great businesses. On top of that there is prize money. The overall winner of the Global Grand Final receives € 10,000, the runner up gets € 5,000 and the idea that comes in third place wins € 2,500.
